When I ran for the Brevard County Commission, District 4 in 1998, all five candidates ran positive and informative campaigns. This is the way political campaigns should be run, and I look forward to a positive race in 2006. ServiceI believe that those elected to public office should fulfill their duties with an attitude of public service. County commissioners make decisions that affect our daily lives, and they should ensure that these decisions are made in the best interest of the citizens. I believe that everyone who has an issue before the county commission deserves to be on a level playing field. That means that everyone gets a fair hearing. Each decision should be made on the merits of the case and not whether the decision maker is aligned with some group having a particular agenda.
